Fighting Islamofascist Terror not Muslims, Karl Rove's Treason, and Marriage Equality in So. Africa

As well all know, or at least should know. There was an islamofascist suicide bombing of London's underground metro system. A few dozen people were killed, and hundreds injured by this act of barbarism. Terrorism isn't a new thing, and contrary to naive hopes it will not go away. However the ideology behind this terror is new, relatively speaking, and should be confronted head on. Let's get this out on the table before hand. I have no interest in seeing Judeo-Christian civilization destroy the Dar-Al-Islam. I don't want Euro-imperialism and American interventionalism in the middle east, nor do I support Israel's ethnic cleansing for jewish lebensraum either. I believe in a live and let live neighborly policy among nations, within the parameters of the United nations. I support diplomacy and trade. OK with that being said. Secularism, human rights, women's rights, gay rights rationality, reason, science and common sense should not be sacrificed to appease religious nutcases, be they Hypochristians like Ratzinger or Falwell, or Islamofascists like Yusuf Islam, or Osama Bin Laden. Among western nations that are willing to inteligently engage and fight islamofascism, the main ideology opposed to this is Rationalism. Spain, France, Germany, Canada, Holland, Denmark, even Britain to a lesser extent are all opposing islamofascism with it's natural enemy reason and rationality. Britain's Islamic population is split into 3 factions, often at odds, one group is Muslim by heritage but not by practice, another is moderate with a live and let live attitude but devout in their own private lives, and the last is extremly conservative reactionary and bent on forcing their faith on others. Britain's Islamic population is more or less no different than Mormons or Catholics in America. The first two groups of British Muslims are not threats to society, even if they are conservative and often opposed to things like same-sex marriage, that alone doesn't make them terroristic. However in increasing numbers Muslim immigrants in Britain are becoming more extreme, more homophobic and violent. Yusuf Islam(formerly Cat Stevens) is prime example of this, he being an estern european immigrant converted to Islam, and throughout his life as a Muslim has become more and more intolerant, and has even been involved in Islamofascist hate groups. The large minority of Muslims who support Islamist regimes, oppose legislation such as same-sex marriage, are apologists for Al-Qaeda are indeed a threat to British society, but also to their fellow Muslims in Britain. Let's not forget that one of the bombs were placed at a metro station in London's moderate Muslim neighborhood. British liberals, along with secular and moderate Muslims need to face this issue head on, challenging within and from outside this culture of extremism within Islam. I myself have emailed Irshad Manji and let her know that her voice, is very much going to be needed in the months and years to come in Britain. Regardless of whether these acts of terror were over the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, they are not excusable. Muslims who oppose terror acts, should not try to explain away these acts. Opposing the occupation of Palestine or Iraq is not a valid enough reason to perpetuate an attack on civilians, if you oppose war or violence then use non-violent means to oppose it. If you use violence and terror, you only validate the actions of those you oppose.

Speaking of terror, Eric Robert Rudolph the anti-olympic anti-gay anti-abortionist bomber, is writting a book. I am sure that this will be a must read by our friends in the Christian Coalition, and GOP friends. Eric Robert Rudolph's sponsoring terror group, Army of God, http://www.armyofgod.com/Leviticus.html , has never had justice delivered to them. It seems as long as your terror group is a right-wing Christian based group, that it's OK by the US Government.

Karl Rove has commited TREASON and shoud be executed along with Andrew Card, George W Bush, Condolezza Rice, Dick Cheney and the entire administration. Karl Rove put an American spy's life in danger, and put America's safety at risk, because her husband spoke the Truth and told the American people that Mister George W Bush was lying about Iraq. My greatest hope is that Karl Rove is executed, and this scandal leads to the imprisonment and execution of all the administration, that lead America into this evil war in Iraq. May Karl Rove and all Republicans burn in the fires of hell for a thousand eternities, for the damage they have done to this country.

Marriage Equality is comming soon to South Africa, because within the next few days, the Superior Constitutional Court of South Africa will rule, I'm betting unanimously, that denying gays and lesbians the right to marry violates the preamble of their constitution. I am getting even more sick of homosexuals in America who keep saying "it takes time" when it comes to achieving absolutle equality. I am tired of seeing gay Americans being left behind in the marriage equality movement. Civil Unions and Domestic Partnerships are GARBAGE, and are like ordering Filet Mignon and getting Spam from the dumpster. We shouldn't be voting for ANY candidate who doesn't support complete marriage equality, regardless of their partisan affiliation. Marriage Equality is the most important issue for us, EVER! Every issue from social security, healthcare to taxation to financial aid for college is affected by this, and for us to roll over and let candidates ignore an issue of extreme importance to us, while they debate the fine points on who is going to do more of nothing to fix the Gas price problem. This issue shouldn't be swept under the rug, by our supposed "allies" because they fear being labelled queerlovers by evil hypochristian bigots. Kudos for South Africa for being yet another country that shows the rest of the world, including the United States of America, how to treat citizens.
